Johnny Horner, the Potter
I was bitten by the "mud bug" after taking a pottery class at our local community college while recovering from a stroke. I am eager to learn everything I can about ceramics. I am just learning to mix my own glazes.
My Studio?
I don't currently have a studio. I haven't found a place to set one up after moving to the North Carolina coast. I have found an art gallery that offers memberships that includes the use of pottery wheels and kilns. Membership is very reasonable. I will be joining soon.
Below is a picture of my wheel. It is a shimpo, and I just love it. It has leg extensions so I can throw standing, or sitting. It is steady, no matter how much clay is on the wheel head.
